About Tommy Pittenger
A legal malpractice attorney serving Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lafayette, and constituents across Louisiana
Expertise, compassion, trust
Integrity-driven legal guidance by Pittenger Law Firm
Twenty-plus years of legal malpractice litigation, a lifetime of Baton Rouge community.
Tommy opened the doors of Pittenger Law Firm in 1992, fresh off a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center. He represented individuals and companies suffering from personal injuries for over 20 years, and translated his dedicated ambition and integrity into the niche of legal malpractice. For the last four decades he’s been proud to have won many significant verdicts and settlements favorable to his clients.
Today, Tommy is trusted by his clients in legal malpractice. With each case, he takes pride in helping people who were wronged by someone else. Because he has such a central focus on legal malpractice, he is an attorney with a deep and thorough understanding of the legal issues in your case.

Integrity, compassion, a farmer with a love for the earth.
When he isn’t practicing law, Tommy is just like many other Louisianans.
He is a proud husband and father of three daughters. He volunteers his time in areas including sobriety, domestic violence, and homelessness. Tending to his fruit trees is a long-time passion, and he loves his farm and improving the land with his favorite tractor or track hoe.
